Title: Replacing front and back seats
Post by: ted_danson on February 15, 2020, 04:11:28
I have recently written off (in hail) and bought a replacement 2018 i30 (Active) - i.e. both vehicles are the same year/make/spec. The condition of the seats in the write-off is better than the replacement, so considering doing a swap before sending the write-off off to the wrecker/auctions.

Are there any guides for removing and replacing the seats in a 2018 i30? The rear bottom seat looks simple (just clips in place) but I'm not sure how best to tackle the rear back seats (which fold down) as well as the driver/passenger seats. Worried about damaging any passenger detection devices or airbag controls - but am aware I'll need to disconnect the battery first.

No idea at all , but,
Disconnect battery, wait 30 mins.
Have a real good look at it all while waiting,
Unplug everything you can see, unbolt everything you can see and pull.
Start with write off first,  that way if you f-it up, it won't matter just re install

Other more helpful people may be along soon .
