I have had an annoying creaking noise which I thought was emitting from the dash area.

I have had a bit of a play around today, and now I think it is the top drivers side door hinge. Seems to only happen when it is warm.

Before anyone says it, I have used silicon spray without effect. I suspect it is not the hinge itself, but the join where the hinge meets the frame.

Any suggestions on how one stops this annoying noise? (again I have already used the Forums official answer to every noise silicon spray).

I don't think silicon spray is the right lubricant for this purpose.

I would use an oil or grease based lubricant for this.

But you say you think it's where the hinge meets the frame. That should only make noise if the bolts is loose...

But silicon spray fixes everything!

If that's the case, you don't have the problem anymore, or...?
