Hi,

I have wintertires without TPMS. Now the TPMS light is on. Is there a way to shut this off? The TPMS sensors are in my normal tires.

All EU market  new model  cars since November 2012 are required to have TPMS.  Obviously this will not apply to your i30 but raises the problem of fitting winter tyre and wheels to such cars and, no doubt, will increase the cost.

Not quite. My 2014 Style Nav doesn't have TPMS.

I believe it becomes mandatory from October 2015.

That said, you raise a decent point about those countries where winter tyre swapping is essential and/or mandatory.

Yes, another thing that will just raise the cost of running the car.   

Never mind just buy 4 new modules, they're very cheap...

I think I would just let that light glow during the winter, but if your laws are like ours, than whatever equipment fitted, must work.

This will, in the countries where it's not mandatory, keep even more people from buying winter tyres, which is crazy.

This will cause even more days on the roads where we need to travel at very low speeds because another moron is only doing 40 km/h on the a-roads because he can't get a grip on his summer tyres.

No is 10A cluster. For dash, esp and tpms.

Found this:

TPM Receiver is integrated with the TPM module installed in the back side of center console. The operating battery of TPM module is supplied from the vehicle battery.

Not quite. My 2014 Style Nav doesn't have TPMS.

All NEW MODELS from 2012.  The GD is a facelift of the FD not a new model.

As of 1st November 2012, all new-type vehicles will be required by EU law to have a pressure based tyre pressure monitoring system installed. This applies to the road wheels, not the spare

By November 2014, all new passenger vehicles will have to have TPMS installed by the manufacturer.
