That's a nice clean installation John B - I suppose I could do something similar but it would not be easy and I am happy with how I ran the cable. - It is not obvious in the car interior when the hatch is closed.As an aside. The first response I received to the same post on the KIA Niro forum was a member who posted "What do you use the cameras for". I fear he was posing a serious question.
One thing I should mention is that Sandisk cards are not recommended for VIOFO cams, both of the top Aussie sellers here have highlighted warnings not to use SANDISK cards in any of the cams sold.
@ Alan. Is it ok to fix the camera on the rear demister element ?
Thanks Alan. The reason I asked is I would like to fit a new rear camera and would prefer to have it attached to the glass rather than the trim. I was wary of messing the elements up.

I see, I guess as the wedge type also sit closer to the base it might not sit low enough to view out the window either
