Title: 1.0l Fastback from 1.4 i30?
Post by: Mister Paul on September 16, 2020, 21:07:41
We're considering changing our car from a 1.4 standard shape i30 to a 1.0l Fastback.

Has anyone tried both properly? I know the 1.0 isn't as powerful, and quite enjoy the 1.4 which is surprisingly quick. But it's not the end of the world -our other car is an 85bhp Roomster. But I'd be interested to know how much of a difference it makes in general driving.

The other query I have is with the suspension. Apparently the Fastback has firmer suspension. If anyone has experience the ride and handling of both I'd be interested to hear what you have to say.

Thanks

Depends - presumably you arent going from a 1.4GDi - that would be quite a disappointment. From the older 1.4 to the 1.0 the thing you'll mostly notice is you will be using a lot more revs.
