I'm a few thousand kms away from having to get new tyres and as I've said before I'll get Continentals after others' success with them on i30s.
The original Nexen tyres have now done 77,000 kms and are within 2 or 3 mm to the tread depth indicators (which is when replacement is needed) all round.
Considering that Nexens are cheap end tyres, I'm pretty pleased with that.
Not the quietest, but pretty good distance on a front wheel drive and more than I got from the original tyres on my previous FD.

I bought 4 replacements but changed only the front 2. That was almost 10,000 km ago and still going strong on the originals on the back! :victory:

Geez I must be hard on tyres, either that or our country roads are made of sandpaper, both of mine have their third set on,but too be fair,I took the original skinnies off of Cyril at about 5000 K's,so really he's on his second set.

No help to you but if you lived in Sydney you could get them for $115 per tyre.

Doggie you could try Continental in Subiaco to see if direct prices are better or I've linked up some stores that are closer to you who sell conti's http://www.continental-tyres.com.au/www/tyres_au_en/general/dlocator_en.html

OK, I called into Continental at Subiaco today. They wanted $180 per tyre.  :fum:
So I went back to my tyre place ($139) and spoke to the owner.
He said he would fit the CC5s if I wanted, but he said that the ContiPremiumContact2 is a better tyre (made in Europe, as opposed to the CC5 which is made in Malaysia) and he offered to fit the ContiPremiumContact2 for the same price.
So, Jean has new shoes at 77,500 kms.  :D
I could have got 80,000 kms easily out of the original Nexens, but being winter, I wasn't about to worry about the extra 2500 kms.

Subjectively, I think they are quieter, but to be perfectly honest, if someone had come and picked my nose car up during the night and replaced the tyres without me knowing, I don't think I would have noticed.  :Dunno:
