Back from a week staying in a small fishing village on the North Coast of Aberdeenshire, only a couple of hours away but far enough and remote enough to not have any contact with the digital world, nothing better than a GPRS signal on the phone, 3G is but a pipedream for this area!

Day One saw us taking a gentle stroll the two miles from Portknockie to Cullen (home of Cullen Skink a very tasty soup made from cream, potatoes, leeks and smoked haddock) and back.  This break is to give my mother-in-law her respite from being the primary carer for her husband and as such is very gentle, a four mile walk is comfortable for her as long as we stop for refreshment during it.

Hope you like the photos!

Stay tuned for part 2!

Thanks Brian.  I do remember the coastline being spectacular along that way.  I remember the bridges from when I went for a drive up that way on the way from Aberdeen to Inverness.  I hope you had good weather while you were away.
