lotsa tyre threads abound, but is there any real opinions on handling/ wear/ NOISe?

I'd appreciate some ideas on replacements especially in regard to noise levels...

I'm guessing that in Australia you're not too concerned about driving on snow and ice, otherwise I'd recommend the Michelin CrossClimate. I have them on my car and they are pretty quiet and give a comfy ride. The one thing I can't comment on is how good they are on icy roads, because where I live in the UK we haven't had any snow or ice in the last 18 months.

The Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance2 are what I advised my partner to fit on her i30 a few weeks ago.

hooray for climate change eh?  yes Australia's south east does get ice and snow in winter on occasion,  but not where I live.

Goodyear efficientgrip have some good write-ups elsewhere in these forums believe.

i'm kinda torn between Bridgestone turanza serenety plus- Continental ultra contact or Contipremiumcontact 5  :Dunno:  and Falken ziex atm. i've pretty much always run bridgies so most likely will go with those, unless i read a great endorsement here  :faint: :goodjob:

I've had premium contact5s almost as long as the FD. Bought 2nd set after first one was worn out. Good tyres, but I can't comment on the noise. FD is so loud compared to GD.
