I'm looking for info from anyone with experience of the accessory rear bumper protector. What is it like to fit, any issues with clearance for the hatchback, etc. It does seem pricey at about £45 (GB) but after a recent 'near miss' with a sharp-edged case it might prove a worthwhile investment!

I seem to recall it screws in too, but don't know for sure. I wanted one as I have a 3 bike mount that rests on the bumper. But I thought the price was too steep and instead purchased a float-on 3M clear protector from germany for around a tenner. There is a thread about it somewhere. It seems pretty robust for a "sticker" and was easy to fit, and almost invisible.
