thanks  :)

My cars now at the dealer, I got i30 CRDi Auto rental  :)
So now I have some comparison to my car, the CRDi sounds like the big trucks at work  and the Auto is nice, but boring  But still a great car

I just cant drive a car with fake exhaust, it's so silly, and everybody laughing
I also had a problem with my right rear light, the smoke was coming under the car and through the rear bumper and on the light, I dont have that problem anymore :)

Well.. I know you open the roof when it's -5°C, -10°C or +20°C, so I know there is no need for some special sun for you..

I'm looking at the hemmi's i30 interior and I just love how the leather looks..  8) damn

Oh..and one more thing.. I was looking at the pictures, you took at night.. There's noone walking around :D was it taken at i don't know 4am?  :)

There isn't always a lack of sunshine in winters here, when the sun shines like now theres cold out side, and the roads are wet, So I only open the sunroof in sunny and dry days.

And yes the pictures were taken around 3 or 4 AM, I was on night shift and got bored

Hmmm

Nobody here has noticed they are fake to be honest with you, the only comments I have had go something like

"Coooooool, it has shaped pipes like the new Civic!!"

I just smile and agree

As long as that continues no need to spend my hard earned in these times of trouble I reckon

Hold on....why am I writing this in Hemmi's i30    Time for a copy and bump to bumpkins i30 I reckon

It's noticeable here, when it's cold outside it's very obvious that there is no smoke coming out the pipes, instead coming underneath the car

I think it's time you go take more pictures of your car and post them in your thread, or are you waiting for summer

Wow , i love the lights for the lower *pocket* and the ashtray, if i show the wife she'll have a tanty next to me until i make it happen :D.

I think youve inspired me enough to go and get some LED's and resistors and have a play :D

Any examples on how to pull that part of the dash apart to get in behind it ? or what parts you used (you mentioned a install guide but i cant see it)

There are two screws inside the compartment, just unscrew them and pull the thing out. I used 12V from the 12V connector below, do you have any experience in electronics? I didn't make a install guide because there didn't seem to be much interest. Just send me PM for info

I dont really have much experience in electronics but i can fight my way through some simple pcb diagrams.

I was reading yesterday about using the resistors to get the required voltage to the LED, seemed simple enough. (I've assemebled one of these from parts before http://wbo2.com/2a0/default.htm and it seemed to work)

Ive had a play with some things before and thought of getting some biscuit board and some LED's from the local shop to have a bit of a fiddle :)

Not driving the i30 much at the moment as with 4200km's+(~2100km's each way+ touristy activities) in one trip as i'll be driving from Adelaide to Brisbane i dont want to hit the 7500km service (if i bother with it) halfway back which was going to happen, besides, need to use the older fuel in the other car before it goes off :) So ive got a day or 2 to pull it apart and have a little looksie.

I'll whiz you a PM and get the gorey details :)
