Title: 2012 FD SR i30 5 speed, wont start, turns over but wont actualy run
Post by: Mattyyyjames on August 30, 2020, 01:56:21
So my 2012 FD SR i30 has had a major service at 200k, timing belt, water pump, plugs, fuel pump, all filters and oils.
After doing 1000 ish km it wont start, it just keeps trying to kick over.

Have double checked my imob light. Comes on solid when the ign is turned on then turns off( so imob is working i believe).
There is no other lights that flash or stay on while trying to kick over.
Except the normal lights, bettery, seat belt and park break.
Car eventually starts after alot of cranks.
Im guessing its a fuel pump issue?
Or posible a faulty crank sensor?

Any help is appreciated!

Will be calling the mechanics who did the work tomorrow, just wondering if its going to be an easy fix or not..

Hi, On the "2009 1.6 Petrol, won't start properly" thread I've added a video to my own starting issue case, can you relate to that ?

Cheers!
