Title: Peeling rubber roof trim
Post by: wrx43 on January 04, 2024, 23:45:43
Hi everyone,
I have a 2012 i30 FD CW and the rubber roof trim is peeling off quite badly.
Various youtube clips of different makes show you can remove the trim carefully, but often the clips break.
Any experience with removal on the FD?
Has anyone used Rust-Oleum rubberised undercoat , and then finish with clearcoat?
e.g. as in     :link: HOW TO FIX PEELING ROOF RAILS demonstrated on Ford Edge - YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWIwUlglicY)
Thanks!

Is it rubber? I read somewhere that it's vinyl wrap (mine is starting to craze and peel a little now), so getting a few metres of matt black wrap would fix it.
