I recently bought an i30 that had its roof bar clip covers missing, I purchased some replacements but can’t get them to fit!! I’ve looked for videos to try and get an idea but can’t find anything relating to the little cover clips. Wondering if I’ve just got the wrong ones even though the seller said they were for i30 (but not genuine part)

They are very tight fit.

You have to put the end without the indent into the hole and push right in.
That end of the cover has a gap and the fixed bit slides between it.

Slip it under the fixed bit.

You then need to push down the end with the indent and slide it back across.

It then clips under the fixed bit.

Any update as to whether you were able to fit the covers or are they the wrong fitting.

This is the clip I have, I tried to fit it, but it does not seem to slide back to completely cover the hole, I think I just have the wrong fittings and will have to try going direct to Hyundai for genuine parts.  :foottap:

The underneath looks same as mine but I'll check tomorrow.

What you have to do is press down fairly hard, when new I had to use a coin in the slot in mine and push hard whereas yours doesn't have a slot, at the end with the gap and at the same time slide.

I suspect it's a more cheaply made approximation of the correct cover.
I'm so tempted to design and 3D print some just to see if I can do better.
I have a great black filament perfect for the job. :D

Oops, turns out I don't need to. Someone beat me to it!
