If you watch it again, you can see the car that goes head on into the truck to the right of the truck prior to the accident.
Nothing you could do to avoid that one.

It makes me want to put a video camera in my car.
I've thought of it before but a couple of recent incidents are re-confirming it for me.

I also agree. Horrible video and as said, the worst thing is, that sometimes, it's not even your fault and you can't do anything to avoid. Just in the wrong place at the wrong time..

Is it just my imagination, or do these things happen more often to cars with cameras in them?  :scared:

Personally, do you really want them?

It would be like carrying around a camera on your person all the time, just to provide the vital evidence against you when you do something silly. Yes they might capture the moment should you ever become a victim of crime, but imagine your wife being able to go to the video when she thought she saw you turn your head to perve on an attractive lady.

You say you carry them for when your in the right. But they will be used to convict you when your in the wrong.

Members on this forum are paying their own money to do the same thing. As far as looking at pretty girls, the camera points out, not in.

I try not to do anything stupid on the road, so a camera would reinforce my commitment.

And I agree, big brother will use it against you if they can, but remember your speed, baking,  etc, is all recorded by the car's electronics.  :(

Agree that the black box will pick up most of the things you mentioned.

Just think that if you do find yourself turning in front of a motorcyclist you should have seen, your lawyer would be much happier if the footage of the incident wasn't marked exhibit#1 on the prosecution brief.

My garmin 1260 stores every journey I make, including location, time of day From, To etc. It's quite comprehensive and lives in a directory called reports. I download it and store it in Excel for my own use but be aware, it's there.
