  • Sorry, but my karma just ran over your dogma.
A mini tornado hit the Queensland city of Townsville this morning. We have a couple of members here. Kimba and Jack (I think). Rustynutz also spent some time there. Here are the results of that blow.

I hope all our members are ok.
The eastern states of Australia have really copped a lot over the past year, from floods to fires to storms.

Yes, and according to many people it's either Anna Bligh or Julia Gillard's fault.

Yes, I'd go along with that
Although I did think that A.B did a great job during the floods.

The world seems to have turned upside down.. Where we live in Tassie has been getting mostly great weather for the last couple of years  :D

But don't get me wrong I get a knot in the stomach every time one of these disasters hit Australia or anywhere that we have members  :disapp:

I will PM Jack & Kimba

P.S. I feel sorry for Anna Bligh.. but not for Juliar  :whistler:

No, thank God. Several people were hospitalised with minor injuries. Bloody miracle.

Haven't seen the news in a few days so this is the first i've heard of this mini cyclone.....
Just reading a news article now and what sort of car is shown? Yep, an i30......Hope it's not one of our members!

I'm hoping my friend's are ok as they live in West End/Garbutt which is pretty much where the cyclone cut through according to the news.

Don't mate. Sge doesn't deserve your sympathy.
She's as big a Juliar as the PM. Promised not to sell off any state assets before the last election. Fail.
Promised the Qld Health pay debacle would be fixed "immediately". Fail - still not fixed.
Then there's the billion or so she spent on infrastructure and property acquisiotion for the Traveston Dam - BEFORE Federal Gov't approval was obtained (and was  never likely to be). Ripped the farming heart out of that beautiful Mary Valley area around some of which we drove when you were up here and it's still not recovered.
Oh. And we have a great big salt water treatment plant sitting of the Gold Coast which is RUSTING deu the the use of poor materials. That's another billion or so. And it's now mothballed.

Oh.. I see (that is why she is so unpopular..) Newman's Dad was a good friend of my Late Mum and Stepdad .. If he's anything like his Dad he would be a decent man and a hard worker ..
