I'm in the woop woops at Newman.  Maybe one day we'll make the trip to Perth in the i30.  In the meantime we'll be using the 'Cruiser - hubby loves to load up the trailer with stuff we get in Perth.

We're taking my little beastie down to Perth (on the trailer of course) in a few weeks.  It will be living at our place in Perth and we'll use it when we're there.  That way we can just fly down when we want to and not have to get a hire car.  It might even be due for its 1000km service by the time we take it down   I've had it for three months and it hasn't even got 800km on the clock yet.

Mine is now covered in a good layer of red dust   I'll take it to the carwash when it gets to Perth.  The water here is crap and will leave calcium spots all over the windows, and those spots are near impossible to get off.  I'm taking the easy option and flying to Perth on 16th May, hubby will be bringing the car on the 17th.  I'll only be in Perth for a few days, but maybe next time we can arrange for Perth members to have a catch up.

How far away are you from Perth... I forgot what you said B4...

Would have been nice to drive down in the i30 and fly back up...

Mine is dusty inside and out from spending part of each day on my 2 acre block and also muddy (clay) on mats from recent rain up there... :'(

Until we move in and she gets parked in garage not much point being too fussy I'm afraid

I remember when I was a lad of 18 visiting my brother who lives in Karratha for a two week holiday and every white t-shirt I had with me ended up a nice shade of pink from that red dust :D

Newman is about 1200km north of Perth on the Great Northern Highway.  I would have driven the car down to Perth, but that would put the odometer up to 2000km - a bit over the 1000km service!  And I don't want to risk voiding the warranty.  I have noticed that when I reverse out of the driveway there is a slight clunk in the left rear suspension, so might get that checked out at service too.

How about Monday, September 28th?  That's a long weekend, Queen's Birthday I think.  Anyone else interested in meeting somewhere in Perth on that day?

I'll pencil it in - might have a job by then (hopefully it comes thru) and its irregular shutdown type stuff so might fall on the long weekend.  What venue is on the cards? Any ideas?
