Before leaving there was some drooling:

Further down the road the convoy pulled into Pomona celebrating on that very day the King of the Mountain footrace. This involves insanity and running up the mountain in the background.

Because this is a very big deal, the town center was closed and an detour was required. Once you got to the town of course. I had taken an additional detour a little earlier on the highway.

Onwards to the famous Apollonian Hotel where lunch awaits.

Here's another view of the setup for lunch. You can see at this time there is no one lining up. Take note also of how to be appropriately attired in Queensland in winter.

After lunch, down by the water at was was a really nice spot.

Yes like all the bling,I loved the hood ornament,but wouldn't have it on my car,only because I don't like drawing attention to myself,someone I don't want to see me may notice me
