I was having some problems with the sound and I had my bumper replaced because of dents, and was told the clock spring was faulty and to replace it would cost $750, then $450 and finally was replaced for $20. However the CD player radio sound disappeared and my user manual said do an upgrade and gave me some instructions on the information I would need to get the right one.  I have tried now for 2hours to get the upgrade but failed and I was wondering if someone may be able to give me the correct website. The details I found were  Model GD-01, Firmware V2.10, image version G1.56, Bluetooth B113 and memory status 898/900MB.
Being an 87 year young fella makes it hard to sort these things out.

Can't say I've ever seen updates for a GD-01 unit offered any place except Hyundai, firmware updates are free.

I would be surprised for the age of the vehicle if it didn't have the latest firmware installed already though, which was likely done in 2014.

From your description of the problem it sounds like the wrong clock spring has been installed
