My 2nd day of driving my new i30ES and amazed at how smooth and responsive it drives. I was slightly reluctant to buy a relatively cheap car and nearly bought a Vauxhall, Ford etc. Went for the i30 because I liked its interior, safety features and price, and  and got a good deal with my citreon zx 12 years old on the scrappage scheme. This i30 is just great. It looks a bit boy racer ish for me (I have the blue with the big alloy wheels and silver painted grill) but the drive is so pleasant! The car cost 8.5K which over the 5 years of the warranty scheme works out at just over £30 a week - that to me seems quite cheap motoring. I suspect the resale/residual value is not high on UK HYundais but maybe I'm mistaken? Anyway so far so good...very pleased at the moment.

Welcome superted

With that name are you from Wales?

I've had mine coming up for 2 years in September and it still drives as if new.

Glad you like your car and expect many years of carefree motoring.

Cheap --- Never.
A brill car with loads of spec, especially with ESP as standard, at a very competitive price as you found out when comparing to other marques.

Hi superted, good to see someone taking advantage of the scrappage scheme. You could be the first ES owner on here?

Although both are special editions, the ES is different to the SE.
SE had sunroof and mirror repeaters, ES has climate control and reversing sensors.
