My windscreen washers , Front and rear , Have stopped working . I can hear the pumps whirring , The tank is full and not leaking but no screenwash coming out . Where are the pumps located so that I can check the pipes ? How the heck do I get at the bottom of the tank anyway ? i30 2.0 diesel Premium .

I had this and it turned out that the tubes had been blocked.

I had to blow the stuff out of the tubes.

Check this post out and a few others

:link: This should be covered by warranty? Screen washer failure/blockage.

The one pump in the front washer bottle services front and rear washers...

Rather than take the wheel and inner wing off , I Siphoned the tank and then added Meths . Let it soak for a day and then blew down the pipe with an electric tyre pump . Siphoned again and filled with water , Continued pumping air through an topping up the tank . All ( I hope ) the solidified soap ? overflowed . Thanks for the Help .

Meths.........won't that be harmful to windows and paint if not 100% cleaned out!

Certainly won't be harmful to windows (one of the best window cleaners around!)

Sounds like the op is flushing it fairly thoroughly, so should be fine...  :victory:

I have put a couple of gallons of water through the tank as the air was blowing the water and crud out of the filler . Always used meths as anti -freeze and cleaner in the past . Just don't make the screen wash too strong .
