hi, does anyone know if the brake calipers are push back or wind back?

a little more info if you dont mind. I'm guessing you have an earlier model if your needing brake pads?
They tend to be quite good on brakes.
Front or rear?

hi, sorry never thought it through lol

its a 2011 1.6 crdi, its the rear pads im looking to change shortly but info on front wouldn't go amiss either
also s it just rear pads or are there shoes in there for the handbrake?

Fronts are definately a push back piston.
Rears are push back according to the workshop manual.
There are handbrake shoes inside the rotor. To get rotor off you have to remove one of the suspension arms because it blocks a bolt for the calliper bracket. Handbrake adjustment through access hole in calliper.
