I hope it turns out OK asa. As it happens, it would not be practical to use the CD slot mount in my car - so I have mounted my Nuvi on a disk stuck to the top of the dash to the right of the steering wheel and opposite the door pillar (my car has a triangular window at the front between the door and A pillar) in such position that it is line of sight with the thick A pillar and not taking any windscreen area or front side window area.

Oh Alan, ya don't have to be coy, we all understand...   I to have some old CDs I like to listen too, not as old as yours obviously, mine are more GARAGE and HOUSE...    Yours are more Joseph Locke and Vera Lynne, there's  nowt wrong with listen to your old war time music on your CD player.

Enjoy them turn up the volume

I have to guess that it uses the space in the slot around the disc. Oops, just spotted it on the website. Sorry, should have looked sooner.

Works like a dream, the concerns Alan expressed regards the tongue being too flimsy, not at all, the tongue is metal and has a spreading device which opens the tongue in the opening thereby acquiring a death grip on it's throat.

My concerns related to the pads which hold the Garmin because I thought this might be the fail...   not so, 120 miles mostly on the motorway I concede, but, the farm track leading up to the hospital was is wee bit bumpy and NO PROBLEMS...

I give this device 8/10

Such is life - but a cd slot mount would not be practical in the Venga.  It would cover up the built-in sat-nav.............
