Title: HOW TO REPLACE DRIVER SIDE MIRROR POWERFOLD FOR HYUNDAI I30 GD TROPHY 2014
Post by: lovecat69 on February 01, 2022, 02:37:21
I've picked up a side mirror from a wreckers and wondering - is it easy to change this myself?

I've also got to swap the front passenger power window single switch, but if the videos are right, that looks like a job for a pro?

Thanks!

I can’t see why not should only be a case of popping the plastic cover off and removing a few screws and the electric switch.
Then put back in reverse order.

I think Paul just answered only your first question re mirror.
There have been some posts here on the forum where owners have removed inner door panels to fix/replace door handle cables etc. So someone may offer a opinion how difficult it is to get at the door window switch.

Yes I only answered the first part. And it’s exactly as I wrote took me about 3 minutes to take the mirror off and put it back on again.
As for the the switch it should just pop out. But as I’ve never done it I cannot be certain.
To clarify
Open door remove triangular piece of plastic
Remove the plug/plugs some mirrors have 1 plug others 2
Remove 3 bolts/nuts whilst holding mirror.
Then just do the reverse with the new mirror.
Job done.
