Title: tail light screws and well nuts
Post by: yodm on June 16, 2018, 19:50:47
I installed a tow bar on my 2010 CW, apparently the guy used an impact cordless drill to install back the lights.
he screwed up the well nuts for the rear lights.
anybody got the PN for  the well nuts and the screws for the tail lights?
thanks

:wtf: Hopefully not a friend of yours With friends like that, who needs enemies?

Are the plastic screw covers ok or have those been broken too? I had one broken at a panel shop, can't get them and they get brittle with age

6 x 8574428000, The image suggests if you order that you get the screw too but I'm not a 100% sure as I can't get a clear image in google showing that.

"Hopefully not a friend of yours With friends like that, who needs enemies?"
no, not a friend, a place I got recommendations for , from several people.
they install good quality tow bars and the install looks nice and clean.
I noticed that the left tail light was not sitting perfectly, so I took it off to discover that the rubber seal of the electrical harness, was not seated back in place. when tightening the screws I saw that the well nuts were done.
also one screw from the right tail light was missing.
considered calling them, but gave up the idea, as it will give me nothing.
the manager sure knows his stuff, but the guy who did the job, probably was not having the best day of his life.

Sure is frustrating but if it was mine I'd be at them to fix it how it was but then you could end up with more damage if this is their current potential.
