So you agree with me Steve.. the ix35 is not one of their better styling exercises

Yep. There are plenty of ix35s on the motorways and they just do not look nice at all. They also seem to wobble around too much.

Tucsons I have never liked either

I agree, if you just see the top half in a window or something they do, but out on their own from some angles I reckon they are downright ugly...

Member Blue has a black Highlander (top of the range) and doesnt look so bad in that spec and colour.

Sorry Bob and others who have them I'm sure they are a fine vehicle, especially the CRDi but there are several better looking SUV/4x4's in the same class including the KIA equivilent and the Nissan Dualis IMHO...

I hope it looks decent. I was convinced that it was a simple update so that the Australian ix35s would be updated to look like the European cars and our Special Editions that come from the Czech Republic. But since you guys in England have this already and so do the European markets, I'm assuming it will be a facelift for you too which means the Australian cars will likely skip the Euro look and go onto the new one. I have to say I'm excited  Let's hope they can fix up the styling, a mini new-gen Santa Fe would be awesome but that would likely need a full new generation as opposed to a facelift.

Santa Fe is hands down their best design. Veloster a close second with i30 3rd.
