Rick, it wasn't a life "sentence" imposed by a court of law.  Hayden Haitana, the trainer, received a life ban from attending race tracks by a sports governing body, Racing Queensland.

Hardly anything to get worked up about that after 29 years he's allowed to go back to a race meeting at a race track.

UM,well aware of who handed down the sentence,whether a court,governing council of a sporting body or hobby body,life means life,anyhow since this happened all those years ago and yes I do remember it,he probably has still had his finger in the pie.

A life ban in this instance should be a life ban, as it is a ban on an occupation, not personal liberty. For 29 years, the dude has been able to live with it.
