Hi,

does anyone have the product number (or a link to a friendly store, which shipps even to smaller european contries) for the small plastic rivets in i30?

I'm looking for a quantity of 5, 10, maybe 20 - not looking for a wholesale provider

Thanks

I believe its assembly 86590 part number 8659028000

I didn't check where you were before posting the reply, check ebay for the assembly and part number, for example in the UK:

Do check they look right before buying.

here is a more general search:

Is there some reason they can't be obtained from your local Hyundai dealer/service centre, I ordered two of those push screws after finding my local service centre had not replaced them after getting the rear mud guards done...they gave me a resealable bag with ten screws for free :)

Would have expected them to be available in local motor factors as I would not expect them to be Hy only..
  • 1.4 Petrol Active I'm no expert, so please correct me if

I doubt you'll get 10 for £3.95 from Hyundai

My local dealer charges £110 an hour labour, so it's going to cost a tenner for them to walk into the parts store.

I think the ones on the mudguards are smaller IIRC.

£110..  :scared: My local Hy dealer only charges £65  :D

However, they won't charge you hourly rate when you want spare parts...

Here is an example of dealer pricing. Check the RRP and the asking price lol

http://shop.platts.co.uk/hyundai-bumper-clips-8659028000-573-p.asp

10 pcs £12.84   :scared: and you can get 10 on the www for 3,84. No wonder people don't visit their dealer so often.

I often Wonder why dealers allways think they need to charge so high prices on spare parts that you you leave the dealer feeling ripped. Why not let the costumers leave with that feeling; this was well priced, I need to go there next time i need parts.

I would love to support my local dealer, but I will not pay 2,3 or 4 times the prices elsewhere.

Re use the originals. I do when the fog lamps are replaced. They are not required to be tight fitting. Cost, $0.00

As I said Hyundai gave me 10 for free, wont hurt to ask them anyway as they probably have buckets full of them :)

The mud guard one's are screws by the way! but the two that I had missing were from the rear bumper inspection panels that disappeared after having the mudguards done.

They're pretty common as components in the body kit I put on Firty. They have Hy part numbers but are likely common aftermarket bits as well. :victory:
