When I had my FD I looked at replacing the original mirrors with those with the indicators in them.
I bought the mirrors online but never got around to fitting them so when I bought the GD, I gave the FD mirrors to another forum member.
Now that I've had the GD for a couple of years and I'm finally getting alloy wheels on it  :D, I began thinking again about doing the mirror mod.
I've done a bit of a forum search but didn't find anything.
Is it possible, does anyone know, to retro-fit the electric folding mirrors (with inbuilt indicators) to a GD Active and if so, how difficult is it?
I know nothing about auto electrics so would have to get someone to do it for me, but I'd be interested to know if it can be done relatively easily.
Thanks.

It's the folding function your chasing or the integrated indicators?

Both if possible, but especially the integrated indicators.

I would assume all the required wiring is already there you just need the mirror assembly? I've read about the mod done before and If I find where I'll post asap  :victory:

 Found it!

Can't imagine indicators being too difficult. If wiring is not there already.
Folding function may require a little more effort. But I have no idea.

You can get the mirrors here :link: LED Reflector Puddle Lamp Power Side Mirror 12 2013 2014 Hyundai Elantra GT I30 | eBay for a reasonable price but I'm not sure how you would get them to fold without having the module, if your not worried about them folding then the indicators are relatively easy to hook up by an auto electrician wiring into the existing side indicators if you are going to retain them...or use the current indicator wiring and take a trip to your local panel & paint shop to have the current fender indicators welded up and sprayed ( just had the later done on a friends VS ute after replacing with BMW mirrors )

Your welcome :)

It's a real bugger to get the folding action to work as you need the module plus the switch is required for the drivers door arm rest and that means completely replacing the drivers side control panel, much easier to just hook up the indicators and leave it as normal.
