Title: Anyone fitted a splitter?
Post by: leeroy on May 09, 2013, 21:42:37
Hey everyone.

Just wondering has anybody tried fitting a splitter to the front bumper of their I30 to make the bumper look a bit lower to the ground?

Thanks!

Welcome leeroy  :goodjob:

Have a look through the Gallery pix of the series one cars (FD) I think a couple have those.

Shouldn't be an issue but you will have to be really careful with gutters, steep driveways and stuff.

Some might call them a front spoiler so also suggest you browse the non model specific mods and/or do a search for splitter and "front spoiler"

There is a young guy in our area running around in a Clio with a soft(ish) black rubber skirt on the bottom of the front bumper masquerading as a spoiler. I'm not surprised - where I live the speed humps (sleeping policemen) are high and viscious.

It is probably why no-one around here has a new Ferrari or Lamborgini - they would never negotiate the humps
