An official Hyundai towbar kit is now available for the i30 N-Line and I had it installed by my local dealer, Ralph D'Silva in Preston. It was the first one they had done and they had some problems with the wiring harness. The end result is very neat and electrics work properly. Not as elegant as some of the Euro installations I've seen, but it still looks fine. It was expensive ($1050), but I have the comfort of an official Hyundai installation and no warranty problems.

Merry Christmas Heidi,
Thanks for Sharing.. :goodjob:

These photos of the towbar with towball removed are hardly gloatworthy. A nice feature is that the reversing beepers are inactive when the towball is attached and the towball is visible in the reversing camera. I'm thinking about relocating the trailer plug to a more concealed location that is also reasonably accessible. The main purpose of the towbar is to attach a bicycle rack.

I've tried to choose my words carefully here.... it's not a looker.

Looks great to me, Heidi.
Looks like it's provided by Hayman Reese to Hyundai, which is a good thing.
Nice and solid.
