I don't value the opinion of someone whom would not buy the car....

A couple of them said they'd buy it as a SECOND car and at least one said he'd buy it as a family car (whatever that means)...

They should ask real customers, or, put me in one for a year and I will do a write up for them

Who are these people and what makes them an authority either for or against the car.

A car sitting in room is hardly the recipe to formulate a recommendation. What about noise levels, power, handling  and safety etc, not even considered.

My local dealership told me some time back that I would be surprised how many buyers of small to medium sized cars - especially middle aged and elderly people - who never ask for a test drive. They are happy to make their decision based on examining the car in the showroom and chatting with the salesman. Some will be trading up to a later model of the car they already own - or will have read car reviews or relied on recommendations from friends.

I'm quite surprised at that statement, I just can't imagine buying something for long term use without making sure it fits me first. I assume you try a suit on before buying it, you DO own one don't you. 

This whole  business is a total Shambles.
