Hi All
My engine check light is on in my 2014, i30 Trophy, 1.8 auto, Australia. We have been away For 3 months and the i30 sat at home for all that time but when I started it after the holiday the damm engine check light is on while driving, can anyone throw any info please, the car has only done 6000k's

Hi Dave, so not driven or started for a whole 3 months? 

I am guessing you have checked fluid levels etc....

Didn't drop any oil on the ground? Does the engine sound rough at all?

I have checked all the fluid levels all OK and the car drives as it should great, maybe I will go and see my friendly Hyundai Dealer on. Monday

If the vehicle is not being used for an extended length of time IIRC there's a fuse switch that has to be activated  or you'll flatten the battery. Even when off, the car is using some energy to sense a key press or proximity key etc.

I'm sure I didn't dream this, I think Steve was involved.

All's well that ends well, the engine light went out after I kept driving the i30 for a while, buggered how it happend, but it did, thanks all those that commented
