After stripping down both mirrors I found the wheel cogs supplied do not fit this years model, but on further inspection the fault was broken twisted wiring on both sides within the mirror body it would appear poor install had allowed wiring to twist every time mirrors closed and this weakened th cable to distraction ,not blowing fuses total removal was required and replacing wiring and wrapping correctly,bad manufacturing error,shame but all working now and still nice car
