Hi,

Am a new car owner (infact my first car). Thought of testing how the anti-theft alarm would work and tried opening door with key (instead of remote). Got the alarm after opening the door, so i closed and unlocked using remote key.

Now the immobiliser indicator is turned on and am not able to start the Car.

How do i reset or unlock this immobiliser indicator? Any inputs will help.

In the manual, it says contact your dealer to enable the ignition key to function.

Thanks
Chaitanya

The last time I did that I just locked and unlocked the car a couple of times with the fob and voila, all back to normal.

Good luck  :scared: :scared:

You could disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for a minimum of 30 minutes which may reset the immobiliser.

BTW  :wlcome01: Be aware we have quite a few active members but some are only on every few days and also being world wide some will be asleep now!

Where is that as i have never noticed such unless you mean the door lock light?

Try locking the door with the key then unlock with the fob

Ok just unlocked the car with key in driver door lock.

Alarm went off when i opened the door.

Pressed the unlock button on the fob and alarm stopped.

Got in car and turned ignition on and car started.

Switched off got out and lockec door with fob.

Car secured ok so unlocked with fob, started car and started ok.

So mine is ok so not sure about yours as to what it could be.

That's also how mine works. If you have the right key the immobillizer should recognize the key. How about using the other key you got ..?
