This is why my car gets so dusty...We get a lot less rain here than the POMS...
Rainfall map showing rainfall for the entire month of February in Tasmania (Where I live got less than 25mm or 1 inch...- much less is my guess)

In my region (Canberra) it would be all white :'(

Just call us Brits "pinkies" :P

According to the MSN weather site Bolton's (UK) average precipitation
for February is 4.37 cm (43.7 mm)....not quite "in the pink" !!!!!

interesting, it seems that it rains more in Devonport than in Reykjavik,
I still think there are more rainy days here than in Devonport, I've been a few times in a hotter climate and It was just pissing down! Few seconds out and you're soaked! That rarely happens here, it usually rains horizontal here

Hi Hemmi,
Tassie used to have a reputation for being cold and wet but the weather varies a lot across the state. From Devonport area east we only get average rainfall which seems to be decreasing...
Hope I still get enough to fill my tanks..
We don't get tropical downpours here but my wife if going to Darwin again today (where Gurkah17 lives) for a couple of weeks and it ......es down up there.. :D

hey dazz, what time of year is the driest? Here it's June.
-
That's a hard one ... probably February (without checking our weather site)
June would possibly be our wettest...

We are not used to it so dry here... Even though we don't want the building work to be interrupted we would be pleased to see a little rain..
