Really enjoyed the whole trip. Also reminded me that... i've never been there or at a similar place.
Villages and even the towns there are just like the green hills that surrounds them: relaxing but with interesting curves.

I'm having trouble securing the camera to the dash.
Masking tape, duct tape and blutac have all failed. They don't stick to the dash which I try to keep clean and protected.

Any other suggestions.

My latest, which seems to be OK is putting the camera on a folded hand towel (for height and insulation from bumps) on the dash top storage compartment and opening the lid then running a large elastic band around the whole thing and closing it again.

Actually this seems to work rather well.

I use Sticky velcro dots .. just use the spiky ones if you have a dashmat or both types if you don't 

I've also thought of using a big rubberband or shoelace to attach the camera to the passenger head rest if no passenger in the car (for a different perspective)

Velcro won't stick to the dashboard either.

And Shambles, the camera's too heavy for that. It's a fairly large Fuji digital. Not a special lightweight model.

I'll take a mobile phone pic of the set up next time I have it in the car.

Hi Trev. In understand why you say the cameras too heavy for a suction mount, but the one that came with my camera has a lever that forces the suction cup to grip the glass incredibly hard - no chance of any movement or dislodgement. Just a thought...
