so most of you know i've got 18's on the missus's car, if not this is them or you can see them in the gallery





i was thinking about getting the tyres white or red walled. what they do is shave a thin strip, about 30mm wide around the wall of the tyre (its not deep, only enough to get the writing off) to get it flat, then paint/dye it with a latex based product to whatever color you want. its supposed to last between 7-9 years by which time the tyres will be worn out anyway.

i reckon it would look cool as F#@k

if some time in the future i don't like it i can get the tyres flipped on the rims so the white stripe is on the inside wall where you can't see it. i got quoted $40 a tyre at a local place, and they do it with the tyres on the rim.

White on a white car or red on a red car might be ok but not sure about on a silver car (If you do it I reckon red would look better than white with Silver)

be carefull with the engraved white walls,its illegal in Victoria and you risk a defect sticker. 
check with the relevant fun police in QLD, VIC roads deem it to be modifying the tyre wall integrity. 
so if you have it done and its deemed unroadworthy,you'll be up for a second set of new tyres.

I'm not getting along too well with Photoshop tonight.. I had to reinstall it and run it as an Administrator (something about permissions)

I could do anything with the original  Paint Shop Pro (7) but have the latest version of that too and you need a Graphic Artist Degree or a how to book to drive both of them now

I couldn't agree more. I find anything other than the simplest of tasks difficult in the newer versions of photoshop.
