Merry Christmas to you all!!

Seeing if you guys would know if  advanti 15" x 7.5  5 multi fit stud rims would fit on my 2011 cw? I was thinking of fitting them with 205s as i've read some post on here that suggest that they are a suitable tyre but I'm just not sure if they would stretch on the 7.5. Having said all that....  I know SFA about wheels and the like.

Cheers and enjoy your festivus!!  :D

A couple of things radar.
I don't like multi-fit rims but it is just a personal choice.
IMO 7.5 inches is too wide. 6.5 would be OK. Maybe 7.0 at a pinch.
What profile 205 s are you suggesting?
At the end of the day, you need to use a profile which will match your overall diameter.

Hi Radar

According to the below site you should be able to fit a 205 tire on a 7,5" rim, but as Surferdude says, 6,5 or 7 would be better.

It's a pain in the ar.. to fit the tyres when the rims are so wide, but maybe that won't be your problem.. :snigger:

205/60-15 would fit regarding the circumference.

It's a Danish site, but I'm sure you can work it out anyway.

The other thing to consider is that at that width the wheel may be prone to gutter rash too...

Good point Dazz. Because the beads are spread so wide to seal on the rim, the rim itself sits out further than any part of the tyre and even a gentle curb rub will leave marks.
Plus the wide spread will greatly reduce sidewall flex and result in a very uncomfortable, harsh ride.
And the lower sidewalls (nearest the rim) will be extremely susceptible to damage.
In an ideal fitment, visually the beads should be in line horizontally with the shoulder of the tread. (Hope that makes sense).

I thought 7.5" rims may also make the car unroadworthy as the base model CW has 5.5" rims, but on looking up the CW specifications I see the SportsWagon runs 7.0" rims so you should be ok as I'm pretty sure you're allowed to go a maximum of 1" over.

There is the possible issue of insurance with the extra wide rims though which you might like to look in to...  :undecided:
