Hello all,

Standard 205/55/16 tyres on the car.

Way too low!  Need a little extra ground clearance.  Considering going to a 205/60/16 for that little extra height.

Anyone else done it?  Any issues?

Going from well worn 55 series to new 60 series will be quite the jump but eventually they will feel 'normal' once I get used to them I assume.

Looks like I'll get a 10mm raise with the taller tyre.  Hmmmm

Not sure why you need extra  clearance.
You will alter your speedo slightly.

I have a tow bar fitted, unloaded it scrapes getting out of the driveway unless I take it very slow and at a very specific angle.

It also seems that every carpark barrier just grabs onto the rubber strip under the front bumper.  Have had to re-attach it several times.

Also, will the speedo read over or under?  Right now indicated 106km/h is 100 in reality.  Running on the freeway at 118 indicated is 111 in reality.

Will bigger tyres correct this or make it worse?  I always forget!

 60 km/h actual speed will =  61.9 km/h , 3% increase in circumference , so your speedo of 106 will now = 103
