Title: 2009 1.4 Petrol, Crankshaft sensor changed, check engine light now on
Post by: Kristinamarys on January 23, 2020, 09:33:05
Hi all,

I have been having a couple of problems with my I30 recently.  It was cutting out when either not moving or moving very slow.  When trying to restart it it wouldn't start straight away and when it did restart, the ESP OFF light would be on, the rev counter wouldn't be working and the car would be very juddery.  If I turned the engine off and then on again this would all go back to normal.

I was advised to change the crankshaft sensor - which I did and so far the car appears to have stopped cutting out.

But since it's been changed the car is misfiring and the check engine light has come on (not flashing) could this be a problem with the sensor not being connected properly - or do you think there may be more issues.  :crazy1: :fum:

My car is a 2009, 1.4 Petrol.

Thanks in advance!

Turns out my 1st thought was correct, sensor wasnt connected properly - car running back how it should be!
