Post by: Dazzler on August 22, 2017, 10:28:21
A mate sent me a link to this forum today.

:link: Hyundai Elantra Sport Turbo Forum (http://www.elantrasport.com/forum/)

and this thread specifically (which apparently has some interesting info on the 1.6 Turbo) I haven't had a real good look at it yet.

@CraigB  You might find this handy if you get a Kona!

Be interesting to see what tuning benefits can be done here, the Aussie models can have a bit more timing advances with our higher octane fuel, combine that with one of the new intake kits - upgraded turbo downpipe and a sports rear muffler and you'll have a hot little beast :D

I'm driving around in eco mode. If I want a performance boost I'll just switch to sport mode!

But others on here (including you) will no doubt go the mods at some stage.  :goodjob:

Does Sport mode alter the fuel and timing Dazz or just hold gears longer?

It feels much more responsive, but I think it just increases revs and hold gears longer. I think it changes the steering response too apparently.  I should try it for a few days rather than a few minutes, I guess...
