Title: Front Wiper Replacement
Post by: Stuwoolf on February 16, 2019, 14:48:08
My uk 64 plate i30 5 door 1.4 petrol needs the drivers side wiper replaced.

I picked up a Bosch wiper from Halfords.

Changing wipers in the old days was easy......I cant fathom out how to remove and replace my wiper on this car.

Grateful for some guidance.

There should be a tab on the back of wiper head connection, pop that up and the wiper will pull back towards the arm to unlock...it’s been a while since I changed mine but from memory you might have to swing the wiper over for it to slide off after unlocking.

On the case of wipers. I recommend silicone wiper blades:

I switched them 2 years ago and still going. Only wash them with isopropyl alcohol from time to time, to remove road grime.

Previously was using Bosch and had to change them after every winter.
