Little Ruby has pushed past 40k and coming up for 45k service soon. Some time ago, I wrote about achieving 5.2 l/100k which I thought was pretty good for an auto 4sp FD. The other night, the car had been filled by Marzipan, (but not brimmed), :fum: so I reset the meters and set off into town to pick up my daughter. We were running early, so just cruised into town and of course rolling down 500 metres into the city got down to 4.1 l/100k. My daughter was working in a hospital and due to start work again the following morning at 07:00, so I didn't spare the horses on the way home. Cruising up the hill @ 90 kmh gave a reading of 5.6 and normally if the traffic is light I stay @ 90 without causing any embarassment to other road users, however, I decided to put her up to 110kmh on CC, our state speed limit and would you believe, on arrival at home, the l/100k read 5.1, so our fuel economy is still improving. I'm happy.  :happydance: :happydance: :happydance:
