The i30 has ran smoothly in all it's 180 000 kilometers, but has always had an issue where all suspension electronics would turn off at speeds of 60 km/h and up.
We have brought it into workshops and mechanics in hope of solving the problem, but they all couldn't discover the problem.

Yesterday we brought the car down to the dealership (the ones with the most experience), and they announced that the car is basically scrap and that the suspension has a sensor issue so costly and time consuming that it would be more expensive to fix than buying a new used car.

The i30 has served a ton of good kilometers, it has been very reliable and it's sad that we most likely have to say goodbye. We've had so many memories with this car and it was the first car I drove.
And for me, my stay on the forum has been short and I doubt I will return again (unless we buy another i30, of course).
Thank you all for willing to help and assist repair of the Hyundai, I never thought I would be leaving this early.

Stock around mate.
Plenty of i30 owners have changed their cars but stayed members.
There's always something interesting to talk about.

What a shame , damn good cars , mine is still going strong at 222,000kms , I probably won't replace mine until I am forced too.

The suspension is not the only problem, the climate control is in need of a repair that would require tearing apart the interior, the clutch is also wore out and about to break. The suspension also apparently causes the tires to wear out (broken because of norwegian conditions) and the total repair cost is so much that it's better to buy a new (used) car. It's very sad and I've felt attached to this car, hopefully it gets repaired by a new owner. Also you're right Surferdude, I'll probably stay around.

I cant immediately bring to mind any sensors in the FD suspension?

Sounds like the Hyundai dealer in Brisbane who recommended the lady driver have her power steering flushed with new fluid. 🤬

And I think it was actually the indicator fluid.
