Title: Papago GoSafe 120 on duty 20130521
Post by: Alasama on May 22, 2013, 01:34:52
My ex-"in car recorder" was out of order twice, that was a product three year ago. So decided to buy a new one, this time I choose Papago GoSafe 120. Although it's the basic-level product of this brand, the quality is satisfied.  Let's see the performance (pls adjust to 720p quality) :D

Btw, there're two i30cw in the video. 1st one on the left side is a utility car of telecom company at 01:27; another is a gray one on the right side of road at 03:49.

Although nice bright picture - I cannot read the registration plates on approaching cars when pausing the picture. Whether this is the camera resolution or distortion caused by the rain I am not sure.

With my DOD camera I have no difficulty reading registration numbers - even when it is raining.

It would be nice to see another video taken in good weather

Pretty darned good I'd say, for a budget brand :)

And don't ever invite me to move to Taiwan, if they're planning to fine people for crossing the yellow line when running up or down escalators (news broadcast just after 4pm)

Do you think that sheila got nabbed for riding her scooter through 2 yellow lines followed by a cop car. (near the end)

Very clear for me on the tablet.

Liked the idea of the box for bikes at the lights then one just goes through on red

Obviously you guys did listen to the radio.  :D I think that's the latest regulation that people will get fined if they across the MRT yellow line or running at the escalator in the MRT station. That's safety concern.

Almost every traffic light has "the box for bikes", we have many scooters, they have the right to wait for green light in front of cars, because scooters ran faster than cars once the light turned to green.

I really don't like those car-drivers who stop their cars on bike stop area. :disapp:

Looks good to me.
And an interesting drive through the city too.  :goodjob2:
A quick check on eBay shows Papago to not be among the cheapest brands available to us, although I couldn't see the 120.
Perhaps we could have those motorbike boxes in Australia too. But maybe at the back of the line?  :undecided:

GS 120 of this brand is too low-end to be listed on ebay I think. So you can only find their higher level models.  :D

Actually, we do have bikes with additional front plate, that's mandatory for bikes more than 550cc.

Just curious,if you know why,why front plates on only M/cycles over 550cc,seems a little odd to me

Good finding.  :goodjob2:

Motorbikes over 550cc (red plate) shared almost the same right on road as cars, now extending to those over 250cc (yellow plate). These bikes can run faster than cars easily, two plates just like cars will help police to snap speeding or other illegal actions on road, more or less.
