Jaycar sell some that look identical to that. I used a strip on the back of my 50" plasma attached with velcro (they are about A$30) to give me ambiant light .. works a treat connected to a remote control powerpoint

Don't think the strip is bendable though or suitable for outdoor use...

Just an update, one of the LEDs burnt out after about 2 months...
I have yet to change grrrr. At least when they are this cheap you don't feel too bad - too bad they are such a hassle to replace.

Well they were T10 LED bulbs.
They get sealed into the headlight unit by a rubber O-ring...

I actually noticed it going really dim one night. And I thought maybe the wire moved around and it was a poor connection.
By next day it had gone of completely.

Funnneee .. I was thinking that during heavy rain for example driving at even 60KPH would give them a thorough drenching

I'm picking up my new i30 CW SX Diesel on Tuesday. I wanted to set up daytime running lights. As they are required in some countries is there a way that I can get my Aussie spec car modified to turn front only parking lights on when motor is running. I was thinking of then getting LED parking bulb.

 DRL. Anybody have any experience with either?
