Title: Front passenger door won't open.
Post by: Steveq3 on December 17, 2023, 11:32:52
Hi. I have an issue with my central locking. The front passenger door actuator seems to have broken in the closed position. Also my boot will not unlock unless I hold down the boot open button on my keyfob whilst repeatedly pressing the boot release button (3 times usually) The two issues must be related

This was an intermittent problem where the key fob would eventually open the door but now the front door won't open at all.

I have seen various YouTube videos about getting the door inside panel off but they are all with the door open. My problem is I need to do this with the door closed.

The central console light is continuously blinking when the other doors are unlocked.

My car is a 2015 model 1.6SE auto.

I'm scared of taking it to a garage as I know the cost to fix would be massive.

Any help would be much appreciated.

What is the state of your 12V battery? i.e. voltage.
Is your key fob battery good?

That's why you should fix intermittent problems before they become permanent, someone I know had a similar problem on a Kia Picanto, had to cut the door card to bits to unlock the door.
