I just wnated to ask if Huyndai i30 1.4 crdi u2 2013 model has DPF.
I live in Europe - Greece if that matters.

I show that the model with dpf filter needs 0w40 oil and without dpf 5w30 oil.

Thank you.

If you give the vin number to your local Hy dealer they will confirm which oil is required.

That way you won't fall foul of any warranty conditions.

Hi Chris

As you are in the EU i very much doubt that you will be able to buy a new diesel car without the DPF, but as Lakes said, ask your dealer to be sure.

If there's a sticker in the engine compartment saying it needs a C3 oil, it's got a DPF.

Hi!

Wouldn't be possible to sell a new car (diesel) here in germany without DPF due to many local emission related restrictions and tax issues.
So I assume it's allmost the same within the EU. The 1.4 CRDI seems to be developed for the EU-market only (I guess you can only sell small engines in Europe, smallest engine for asian/australian market seems to be 1.6 diesel/petrol) and so in my opinion Hyundai wouldn't spend money in having a 1.4 CRDI with and without DPF.

In my 1.4 CRDI you can see a sticker when the driver's door is opened with a warning about DPF and blinking engine-check-light and so on.
