my baby blew it's first headlight

well my ist i30 blew a few headlights, now my two year old i30, just blew it's first headlight 45k up. i have a service booked so will get them to fix that.
what a pain, thats the only thing that gives me trouble,

I shouldn't say this out aloud, but in over 160,000 kms in two i30s, I've never blown a headlight.

Thats tue, I would do about 65% of my driving in the dark.

I do drive at night but I guess the majority of my driving is daylight hours.

Yes I would have to say 65 to 75% of my driving is done in the dark

well when i worked, i drove home in the dark after working back, but most of driving was daylight. now i'm retired i have been driving in the dark a bit more but not that much more. i think PIP once said if you leave headlights turned on & then start car, that can cause it. well i think a few times i forgot to turn off headlights when i parked it and restarted it with them on, but think the charging systems run at higher volt than other cars i've owned.
Dave that would be a world record, did you still have original globes in? should contact new owner see if his lights went out  :rofl:
it's a pain as last time the ist i30 i had, when it blew 1st light it blew second one a week latter.

yes I tend to change globes in pairs, hopefully to save the issue of onhe going shortly after the first,I keep the second good globe I change as a spare for next time,just my weird ways of doing things
