Sheer luck saw this bird of prey (I am not up on bird types maybe somebody else is?) land beside us, I just kept snapping as I got closer in case he flew away!

Hmm, film, haven't used that in a long time!!  bumpkin thinks back wistfully to the days when you anticipated all those amazing shots you took dropping through your letterbox, only to be greeted by 36 shots all jet black!  Didn't happen often, but a dodgy film which ripped as you wound on or other odd camera glitches used to create so much disappointment, at least with digital you can see that a setting is not quite right immediately

As for the rock, yep I had to read the tourist guide twice myself, just in case I had missed a letter in there somewhere

It's a shame that rock fell over like that. 
Great that my photography tips are spreading across the globe though. 
Some nice shots there, generally improving, despite some backgrounds still being out of focus (bird and weed shots).
